How to choose a LoRaWAN gateway for your network

Start with where the gateway lives. Indoor units such as KONA Micro cover offices, plants and buildings; outdoor IP67 units such as KONA Enterprise, Macro and Mega cover campuses, cities and utility networks; Ex units are for classified areas. Next, size the capacity: 8 channels serve most private networks, while 16 and 64 channels carry dense, carrier-grade traffic. Then pick the backhaul — Ethernet where you have a wired link, LTE where you don't, solar for sites without grid power.
